WHAT DO THE ADDICTS SAY?

My first-grade classroom thrives on learning unique stories of individuals from all backgrounds and ethnicities in our nation’s history.  We do this through strong literature, primary sources, and the massive timeline that wraps my entire classroom made up of the AMAZING illustrations done by Nikki of Melonheadz Illustrating.  Her incredible talent and willingness to create for my teaching endeavors allows me to engage my students with a kid-friendly version timeline that fosters continuous engagement.
I use Nikki’s detailed illustrations as I write my classroom curriculum for everything that is historically related.  One of my greatest joys is to see my students look up to the timeline as a reference and be inquisitive as they piece together new information with prior knowledge.  Simply stated, Nikki’s talent with her “magical pen” gives me the opportunity to engage my students more easily.  My room and my teaching are enriched by her and her art daily!  I am so thankful that she is willing to share her talents with the world!!

I am so thankful for the Melonheadz Queen and for sharing her amazing talent with us! I can honestly say my classroom wouldn’t be the same without all my Melonheadz extras!

I LOVE Melonheadz Kidlettes!!  I don’t really remember how I came across Nikole’s drawings, but I instantly fell in love with them, and through the years, they just get better and better!  I asked for a lifetime membership for Christmas one year and that is how I officially became an Addict!  While I am no longer in a classroom, I use the clipart for card making for family members and graphics for my Facebook posts.  If I ever go back into the classroom, I will definitely have a Melonheadz theme!
